Instituto del Queso is a company that works with private and public institutions in the definition of sector strategies and business positioning.
From the area of science and technology, to specialized advice, it has an important network of synergies with private companies, prescribers and public institutions at a National and International level. Instituto del Queso is the Promoter of the International Cheese Festival, an event that takes place in different European cities so far, with the commitment to collaborate with the Strategic Plan for Rural Development to promote the positioning of Asturias as a Gastronomic Destination and Oviedo as a World Capital of Cheese 2021 developing the 3 strategic areas in which the Institute works.
Instituto del Queso, in collaboration with the Public and Private entities of the Asturias Region, has managed to make Oviedo, within the framework of the International Cheese Festival, the headquarters of WCA in 2021.
The Cheese Institute assumes the functions of Technical Secretariat of the Festival, and as representative of the WCA in Spain it ensures that the contest is carried out with the maximum guarantees, also due to the greater strategic impact of the international contest and the inverse mission that it represents for all organizations participants in this project.
